The new CEAST Data Acquisition Systems are designed for instrumented impact tests. Compatible with the full range of CEAST impact systems, including pendulum machines and drop towers, the Data Acquisition System enables the operator to obtain a results curve with high resolution, accuracy and data acquisition frequency. The two models available, DAS 64K and DAS 64K-SC, also enable data collection from instrumented tups or hammers on legacy machines and systems from other suppliers.
The Data Acquisition System is the result of a complete re-design that enhances its versatility and testing efficiency. This re-evaluation is accompanied by the simultaneous evolution of Visual IMPACT, the dedicated software for instrument handling and data processing.
Main Features
- A choice of models provides either 1 (64K - SC) or up to 4 (64K) independent channels for simultaneous data acquisition for devices ranging from standard strain-gauge or piezoelectric instrumented tups and hammers to multi-purpose devices with a defined voltage or current output (0/10 V, -10/+10V, 4/20 mA).
- Selectable acquisition rate up to 2 MHz (simultaneously on all channels), with 14-bit A/D converter and a bandwidth of up to 700 kHz (depending on the rate).
- Up to 65,536 data points acquired and stored per test per channel.
- Parameters are fully controllable by connected PC, including sampling rate, number of data points, gain, trigger mode and trigger level, with the possibility of selecting a master channel for triggering and data processing.
- Designed to apply detailed calibration data as a function of the working conditions, with optimal repeatability and reproducibility.
- High-speed USB connection to PC with optimized data exchange and communication protocols when used with dedicated VisualIMPACT Software (v.6.00 or higher).
