Instron has been a leading manufacturer of dynamic and fatigue systems since the 1970’s and has updated its product line as technology developed. Older Instron systems that are used for dynamic and fatigue tests may move into a legacy status as the electronics and component parts become harder to source or are made obsolete by the manufacturers.
Instron customers have the option to extend the life of these testing systems by upgrading the machine with the latest digital control electronics, load cell technology and WaveMatrix Software. This can have a dramatic effect of offering improved functionality such as higher data accuracy and acquisition rates, as well as providing a good return on the original investment.
Legacy Instron dynamic and fatigue machines include:
- 8500 Series: 8501, 8502, 8503, 8504, 8505, 8506, 8513, 8516, 8511 servohydraulic machines; and 8561 and 8562 electric-actuator machines
- 8000 Series: 8031, 8032, 8033, 8034, 8035, 8036 servo hydraulic machines; and 8061 and 8062 electric actuator machines
- 1340 Series: 1341, 1342, 1343, 1344, 1345, 1346 servo hydraulic machines; and 1361, 1362 and 1380 machines
- 1330 Series: 1331, 1332 and 1333 servohydraulic machines
- 1270 Series: 1271, 1272, 1273, 1274, 1275 and 1276 servohydraulic machines
- 1250 Series: 1251, 1253 and 1255 servohydraulic machines
Instron provides options to upgrade these servohydraulic and electric actuator machines. In addition to upgrading older testing systems, new Instron machines are available for performing fatigue testing or dynamic tests.
An Instron EXTEND 8800 upgrade enables you to upgrade older fatigue systems at up to half the cost of new systems, while improving efficiency and maintaining cost effectiveness.
